Inspirational stories thread their way through the March edition of Reform.
The team meets playwright and performer Jo Clifford, who speaks about her journey towards healing and the need for empathy in theatres and churches alike. And Colin Thompson tells the story of his Jewish mother, saved from Nazi persecution by the Kindertransport in 1939. Then there’s Jesus himself – whose own inspirational story is told by four different biographers in the New Testament Gospels, explored for us this month by the Revd Dr Susan Durber.
Elsewhere, we get political with Annie Sharples – pressing the case for collaborative campaigning – and this month’s Good Question: “Christianity: Left? Right? Neutral?”
Young people, too, are front and centre with new initiatives from the URC Youth Assembly, and thoughts from youth ministry specialist Samantha Sheehan about how churches can engage with 18–25-year-olds. Add to that Christian Aid’s Gaza priorities, a row about asylum seekers converting to Christianity, and Paul Kerensa questioning his belief, this edition of Reform is packed with food for thought during Lent.
The magazine is out on Sunday 25 February.
