Commitment for Life is the world development programme of the United Reformed Church. We encourage participating churches to take action, pray and give for people across the world but especially in our four partner countries/region of Bangladesh, Central America (Honduras, Guatemala. Nicaragua and El Salvador), Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory and Zimbabwe. We work in partnership with Christian Aid and Global Justice Now and have raised millions of pounds. To find out more about the programme, visit the resources page and look at the Intro Leaflet and order form 2018. Use the buttons to find Stories from Partner countries, partner countries resourcesvideos, worship and much more.

NEW  2018 Service - Economy of Life

This year we are delighted that Revd Dr Catherine Lewis-Smith has written our service on the theme 'Why we should use our money wisely'. The pack includes sermon notes, service outline, a great prayer activity and all age activity ideas. Churches have adapted and used previous service outlines for their special Commitment for Life Sunday. To see the complete list of files available click here

NEW Geoffrey's Journey  Geoffreys Journey

Try this out! Follow Geoffrey's journey to Zimbabwe to see how the money your church contributes is being used to improve lives. Hear about a termite tree, how to sun dry crops and much more. This new resource is an excellent way explain more about Commitment for Life  in church or with family or children's groups. The PowerPoint has an accompanying script for those less able to hear the information.

A long term commitment
As part of our 25th year special events and resources, a group of Commitment for Life supporters visited Christian Aid partners in Zimbabwe in May. It was an inspiring and informative visit. A blog of the trip is  available to give you a flavour of what was experienced. Stories and videos will appear throughout the rest of the year. See The Revd Ruth Whitehead's reflection on the trip for the URC website.
