Bulwell URC and residents from Fairway View, a local care home, are teaming up to host a special coffee morning on 17 September.

The event, to be held at the church in Nottingham, is being held to raise money to help purchase specialist resources, like sensory equipment and interactive screens, and provide additional opportunities for days out and trips away for the residents.

On offer will be hot drinks and toasted tea cakes, and pre-loved and handmade items, including cross-stitch bookmarks and floral jars, crafted by care home residents.

Fairway resident Beryl Bradley, 93, says: “I’m really looking forward to the coffee morning, it will be fun working on one of the tables and having a chat with everyone.

“I’ll make sure people buy our jars!”

Fairway View Home Manager, Rachel Squire added: “Our residents love to try new things and visit new places, and the residents’ fund is essential to allow us to be able to give them those extra special experiences.”
