Help raise £20k for Commitment for Life’s Gaza appeal

An appeal launched by the Commitment for Life team in response to the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza has topped more than £15,500.

Let’s help them reach £20,000.

The hope is that the funds will go towards a project currently being developed by the Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committee (PARC) which has cleared land in the middle area of Gaza and are co-designing a fully accessible internally displaced persons camp to enable services for people with disabilities.

In light of the displacement of Palestinians and the increased number of people with amputations and other disabilities, the Revd Dr Kevin Snyman, Programme Officer (Global Justice & Partnerships), said “this is truly an important piece of work”.

He added: “The conditions facing our partners on the ground in Gaza are almost beyond comprehension.

“Everyone at Commitment for Life has been deeply touched by the generosity of URC members. People have given what they can, and then more. Every little bits helps and we thank everyone for their care, prayers, good wishes and kindness.”

Since the latest conflict between Israel and Gaza started on 7 October, more than 35,000 Palestinians have been killed and 1.9 million, according to international development charity Christian Aid.

Around 85,000 Palestinians have also been injured.

In Israel, 1,200 people have been killed and civilians, including women and children, have been forcibly taken. Some have been released in a deal brokered by Qatar.

Please donate to Commitment for Life’s Gaza Appeal.
