How do you make the world a better place? It’s just one big question being asked in Reform this issue.
The Reform team is looking for stories about local actions, projects, campaigns and passions that make their own contribution to the United Nations’ international Sustainable Development Goals. How are we, in our local areas, part of the Big Picture?
In this month’s interview, Kevin Snyman asks another big question. How can we design a world that doesn’t depend on money? Money creates divide and poverty, and is counter to the Gospel of Jesus, he says.
And a third question. What should ministers wear? Four contributors debate the dos and don’ts of “dog collars” and other clerical garb – it’s more complicated than you might think.
Elsewhere, the URC’s Safeguarding Lead says biblical values have their place in the Church’s safeguarding policy. We also hear reports from two inspiring conferences: Junction 25, a unique space for 18-25-year-olds to discuss how faith works itself out in their lives; and Conversations at the Crossroads, which looked at how the URC builds new communities.
This and all the regular columns and reviews.
The Issue 2/2025 edition of Reform is available from 9 March.
