Education and Learning

The Education and Learning office implements activities which are intended to support adult learning within the United Reformed Church, primarily through the initial and ongoing development of people in various public ministries.

Secretary to the Education and Learning Committee

Fiona Thomas is secretary to the education and learning committee, which maintains strategic oversight of adult learning across the United Reformed Church. Through Fiona and a small number of staff, the committee works with four Resource Centres for Learning (RCLs) on behalf of the denomination, maintains the Training for Learning and Serving (TLS) programme, co-ordinates financial support for people preparing for, or exercising, public ministry, and is developing URCLE – the URC’s virtual learning environment.
