One of the United Reformed Church's largest and longest-standing church partners in South India is facing serious flooding. Approaching 300 people in and around Chennai have lost their lives and 3 million have been cut off from basic services.

The URC’s David Tatem and Sally Thomas are presently in Chennai at a conference of Uniting and United Churches from around the world.

The United Reformed Church is a communication partner for Christian Aid’s Christmas appeal. This year’s appeal focuses on malaria in Nigeria, supporting the life-saving work of providing mosquito nets and training community health volunteers.

Malaria is entirely preventable, yet every year in Nigeria around 250,000 children die of the disease.  

jummaiWe want to encourage churches and individuals throughout the United Reformed Church to help stop these wholly preventable deaths by raising money for this campaign during the Advent and Christmas seasons.
