Volunteer Manager United Reformed Church Guide & Scout Fellowship (URCGSF) National Scout Active Support Unit   

Responsible to: Volunteer Head of Active Support and National Scout Active Support Commissioner

Outline: To manage and support the URCGSF to ensure it runs effectively and develops in line with its aims and objectives:

  • to support Guiding and Scouting in particular within the church
  • to work with those responsible for children’s and youth work within the church
  • and to help with the spiritual development of the members of the two movements

Job Description

Permanent contract, 35 hours per week
Salary: Circa £50,000

Are you excited to help the church explore ways of extending worship and discipleship development digitally?

The Daily Devotions have become a treasured part of the life of the United Reformed Church.  This new role is designed to ensure that Daily Devotions and Daily Devotions Sunday Services are fully integrated into the worshipping life of the URC.  

In this role you will extend and develop the Daily Devotions and the Sunday Services. You will explore how emerging digital initiatives can enhance worship, discipleship and mission for individuals and congregations. You will take time to explore the context of a wide digital community and possible ways in which this ministry can develop, and Christian community fostered.
