Church growth conference

New Picture 1

At the Church Growth Conference in July 2013 held at Luther King House in Manchester, a gathering of over 50 persons from a broad cross-section of the United Reformed Church explored Church Growth in terms of spirituality, numbers and discipleship.

To enable this significant and timely process, participants engaged in conversations through bible studies, worship, theological reflection, sharing of case studies and good practices, workshops, and in conversations around meal and coffee times. The lively, energising, robust and constructive conversations were ably facilitated by the Revd John Daniel – an inspiring speaker and thinker from New Zealand.

The prevailing mood during and post conference is that ‘every church can grow’, we need to end the mantra of our stories of decline and no renewal and growth is possible without God and God's Spirit in Christ taking the lead in our life together.

Here you would find most of the presentation and discussion materials which the planning group (consisting of Secretaries for Mission and Racial Justice and Intercultural Ministry, a member of EMLOMA and representatives from the Mission Committee and the Synods), invites you to peruse, use and share as is appropriate.
