Church and Society supports and enables the United Reformed Church to live out its commitment to challenge injustice and encourage peacebuilding and reconciliation. It is part of the United Reformed Church Mission Team and the Joint Public Issues Team.
Do you want to get more involved in Church and Society issues? Would you like someone to come and speak? Do you have stories to share?
The Joint Public Issues Team (JPIT), formed in 2006, combines the expertise of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the Methodist Church, the United Reformed Church and the Church of Scotland in the area of public issues. It enables our four denominations to work together in living out the gospel of Christ in the church and in society.
See the website for information about our current priorities, and sign up to receive Praxis (our regular e-newsletter). If you’re looking for documents specifically related to the URC’s Church and Society work, visit our resources page where you can also find the latest resources from the Joint Public Issues Team.
