Children design posters for Hate Crime Awareness Week

TongeMoorCompetition webChildren within a community of Bolton saw their posters used to promote Hate Crime Awareness Week, as part of a neighbourhood design competition, which was led by one of our very own CRCW projects.

The winning poster design was created by Shelby and Alexus from Moorgate Primary School (pictured right). The story even featured in The Bolton News.

It was run by The Building Bridges project, Tonge Moor URC (Church at The Centre) in collaboration with various organisations within the area and the Tonge Children's Centre in Starkie Road.

There was an overwhelming response to the competition and the Building Bridges CRCW minister Alison Dalton said:

"The calibre of the entries were amazing, making it very difficult for the judges to choose our winners! We decided to choose runners up to be printed as a pop up banner."
