In late June/early July 2017, as part of celebrations for the 500th anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation, the World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC) will host its next General Council in Leipzig, Germany.
Prior to this Assembly, there will be a Global Youth Gathering, from 23 - 28 June 2017, giving young people the chance to 'Meet the World'.
Participants will engage in Christian fellowship as they worship together, study the Bible with one another and exchange what it looks like to be a disciple of Christ in their own, unique contexts.
They will consider how to creatively contribute to God’s mission in the world learning from one another and building the kingdom of God in our world.
Young people from the URC who are interested in attending should, in the first instance, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 070 7916 8683 for more information.
The WCRC is the largest council of Reformed Churches in the world and the highest ecumenical council on which the URC has direct representation. It has 229 member denominations in 108 countries, all of which are represented, alongside other partners and associates, on the General Council.
